Clik Elite - "Sometimes, Photography is a Sport"

Some of you may want to visit my website for portfolios, CV, Statement, etc....  and I am currently revising it - so be sure to hit the *refresh* button if you return...  this blog will be more news, discussions, what's new...  please feel free to respond and/or ask questions. I'll do my best to answer, puleeez keep in mind this will be from my point of view - and that can be very different from yours. The goal being more to put out ideas - giving you things to think about, along with the more typical stat stuff.

Today I'd like to tell you about a great company, that makes backpacks specifically for Adventure Photographers. You know who you are. You don't work in a studio. You travel, grab your gear and go. A bag and/or backpack is a very important part of your gear. After all, it carries all your gear. I'm fortunate enough to have found what I consider the VERY BEST camera gear backpack company: Clik Elite Some of us need room for jackets, rain gear, hats, food, water... you know - the essentials beyond our equipment that keep us going. I've had input in the design of the Venture 35. I love this pack. Big enough to comfortably carry 1 pro body and 4 or 5 lenses. Filters, cleaning cloths (brushes and blower too) loupe, filters, cable release, spare battery... all the goods. As well as other necessities. If I want to go longer/farther, or just carry more gear, I love the Hiker. With the aluminum stays, I can handle the weight comfortably. And for airline travel, I use the Pro Express, that also has room for my computer. In front, not in the back, causing discomfort when it is against MY back. Imagine that!

So - Kudos to the Clik Elite team. Great products, well made, adjustable tailor fit system, designed by those that really go out and USE the packs.

Check out the July issue of PDN (photographers district news) magazine, page 77.  That would be me, working out of my Venture 35.
